Statement Of Faith

SpeakShalom Ministries is a Christian creative ministry that seeks to proclaim Scripture, spread the gospel, encourage believers, and worship God through spoken word, music, performance, and video.
 
We seek to serve across denominational lines while remaining rooted in biblical Christian faith.
 
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith, life, worship, and ministry. Scripture tells the true story of God, humanity, creation, redemption, and the restoration of all things in Christ.
 
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, just, merciful, faithful, and sovereign over all creation.
 
Humanity
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, made for fellowship with God, faithful relationship with one another, meaningful work, worship, and life under God’s good reign.
 
We believe the brokenness of the world comes from humanity turning away from God’s design and living outside the purpose for which we were created. This fracture affects our hearts, relationships, communities, worship, and creation itself.
 
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human. He came to reveal the Father, announce the kingdom of God, heal the broken, welcome the lost, confront evil, and restore humanity to God.
 
We believe Jesus died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return to judge, restore, and make all things new.
 
The Gospel
We believe the gospel is the good news that God has acted in Jesus Christ to rescue, forgive, reconcile, and restore. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, the work of new creation has begun.
 
The gospel calls people to repentance, faith, worship, and a renewed life under the reign of God.
 
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit gives life, convicts, comforts, empowers, and forms God’s people into the likeness of Christ. The Spirit enables believers to worship, witness, grow in holiness, use their gifts, and live as signs of God’s coming restoration.
 
The Church
We believe the church is the people of God, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, prayer, generosity, justice, mercy, holiness, and faithful witness.
 
The church is not yet the fullness of God’s restored kingdom, but it is called to be a Spirit-formed preview of the shalom God will one day complete.
 
Shalom and the Kingdom of God
We believe shalom is the wholeness, peace, harmony, and restoration that come when life is rightly ordered under the reign of God.
 
We believe the kingdom of God has been announced and inaugurated through Jesus Christ, is now witnessed by His people through the Spirit, and will be fully revealed when Christ returns.
 
Christian Life and Witness
We believe followers of Jesus are called to embody the message they proclaim. This includes love for God and neighbour, humility, truthfulness, holiness, mercy, forgiveness, justice, worship, and care for the vulnerable.
 
We believe creative gifts can serve the glory of God when they are shaped by Scripture, offered with humility, and used to point people toward Christ.
 
Final Hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, evil will be judged, and God will make all things new.
 
Our hope is not escape from creation, but the renewal of creation: God dwelling with His people, every tear wiped away, death defeated, and shalom filling all things under the reign of Christ.
