About SpeakShalom

Who We Are
SpeakShalom Ministries is a Christian creative ministry formed around a simple conviction: people are still longing for the wholeness God created them for, even when they do not know how to name it.
We believe Scripture tells the true story of humanity. We were made in the image of God, created for fellowship with Him, faithful relationship with one another, meaningful work, worship, and life ordered under His good reign. Yet the world we know is marked by fracture: in our hearts, our relationships, our communities, and creation itself.
SpeakShalom exists to give creative voice to that story. Through spoken word, performance, music, writing, and video, we want to help people hear Scripture not as distant religious language, but as the story that names who we are, what we have lost, what we long for, and what God is restoring in Christ.
Why Shalom?
The word shalom is often translated as “peace,” but in Scripture it means more than calmness or the absence of conflict. Shalom speaks of wholeness, harmony, restoration, and life made right under the reign of God.
The biblical story begins with a world that is good: humanity made in God’s image, creation ordered by His word, and life enjoyed in His presence. But humanity turns from that created purpose, and the wholeness we were made for becomes fractured. We see that fracture in our desires, our relationships, our worship, our communities, and even in creation itself.
But Scripture does not leave us in the fracture. The prophets speak of restoration. Jesus announces the kingdom of God. Through His death and resurrection, the work of new creation begins. By His Spirit, God forms a people who bear witness to the peace He will one day complete.
This is the lens SpeakShalom wants to help people see through: not a shallow peace, but the fullness of life God intended, the brokenness Christ entered, and the restoration He has begun.
What We Hope to Cultivate
SpeakShalom is being built as a place where Scripture, creativity, worship, and gospel witness come together.
We want to create spoken-word pieces and visual projects that help believers think deeply, worship honestly, and live faithfully as people of the kingdom. We also want to give Christian artists an avenue to use their gifts in service of the gospel: to encourage the church, speak hope into a fractured world, and point people toward the wholeness found in Christ.
We are not trying to present art as entertainment alone. We are seeking creative proclamation: Scripture spoken with conviction, shalom embodied in community, and the gospel announced through beauty, truth, and faithful witness.
